Literary Sport Art Run

The idea for Art Run came from my own runs with art as the destination: running to see a MoMA exhibit (faster than taking the subway), planning my route around a Calder sculpture while visiting a new city, list goes on. I found the run enriched my experience of the art, and the art enriched my experience of the run.

I pitched the idea for the first Art Run to Literary Sport in September 2025, and we have since done them in Manhattan, London, and Brooklyn, with plans to bring them to more cities globally.

For each run, I curate a set of monumental sculptures and architectural landmarks, design a route around them, and create a live map with the locations. I study the artworks and route diligently, as I’ll eventually lead a select group of runners on a guided tour through the works.

I created a design system for the Art Runs that uses the colour theme of each season as its primary variant, letting the unique artwork for each run be the focus. This spans social, digital and print, including printed postcards, T-Shirts, stickers and a zine map of the artworks to commemorate the event.
